Mickley Hall Shooting School hosted the 2017 Eley Midlands Grand Prix from 14 to the 17 June 2017. The event was a great success and had 332 entrants from as far as Mid Scotland to Kent with lots of local shooters also taking the chance to compete with the best from around the country.
Sun shone all week which made for great atmosphere around the grounds and helped with some great performances from local and international competitors. The event was lucky to have been sponsored by the industries business leaders Eley Hawk LTD, Caesar Guerini, Promatic Traps and Crabtree Country Clothing, resulting for a prize purse over £8000 for the winners.
Welsh shot Martin Myers was top of the field with a score of 113 out of 120 after a tense three way shoot off with local Chris Daniels second and Chris Childerhouse third. Ladies champion was multi world champion Cheryl Hall, Staffordshire shot Steve Williams won the Veterans Class, with Henry Collins winning Juniors and Cheshire shot Elle Harding winning Colts.
